Scholars far, wide and local will have the opportunity to join us online. There are two packages on offer. The first is purely online with our bespoke curriculum, and the second combines our online school with onsite sport and culture program.. This enables families to build the perfect package for your child’s needs.
Our online curriculum is project and inquiry-based with a unique African flavour. It combines the CAPS, IEB, and some Cambridge elements with a focus on real-world projects. This bespoke curriculum has been designed and developed in collaboration with top schools worldwide and endeavours to deliver educational excellence for the future-fit child.
Underpinned by this is the strong ethos and value system that is Penryn. In a world that is changing by the day, and skill sets that enhance creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, empathy, environmental and cultural awareness our online offering incorporates coding, robotics and STEAM into the integrated studies component of our academic platform.
This holistic package is tailor-made to embrace tomorrow and equip our young architects of the future to thrive in whatever the future may bring.
Penryn has embarked on an exciting journey of becoming a fully-fledged dual curriculum school with a British International and IEB – curriculum offering.
Penryn College will offer an Internationally recognised alternative independent study opportunity.
The Penryn Online – On Campus learning experience will allow scholars the option to be part of the Penryn family attending online classes on site – a model unique in Mpumalanga. The IEB examinations are well respected both locally and extensively abroad. Many Universities, in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, accept the IEB NSC.
We also acknowledge that some scholars and their families may be specifically looking for an International qualification. There are certain Universities, such as Oxford and Cambridge which specify A-levels as a qualification. Many other Universities, in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, accept the IEB NSC.
The course is run predominantly online with tuition delivered by online tutors. Instead of instruction being given by teachers in a classroom with other scholars, our online scholars will receive tuition directly through technology. The scholars have the opportunity to work independently and at their own pace. This comes with greater responsibility and independence.
In a global and diverse context Penryn acknowledges the importance of choice through this initiative, we can award scholars the opportunity to benefit from an academic environment without the full school offering should they choose to do so alternatively, those scholars who would like to participate in normal school activities but excel in self-study and independent work ethics also have the opportunity to do so.
